Black Fuels

Black Fuel

Furnace oil is a dark viscous residual product used as a fuel in different types of combustion equipment. (kinematic viscosity range of 125 to 180 CSt at 50°C) conforming to the standard specification.
The unit of viscosity used is the centistoke (cSt) and the fuels most frequently quoted are listed below in order of cost, the least expensive first. IFO 380 - Intermediate fuel oil with a maximum viscosity of 380 centistokes (<3.5% sulfur)

Petroleum is categorised into black and white oils. The latter constitutes a portion of kerosene formed during the crude oil distillation. It is thin and transparent with general hydrocarbon content and is used in space jets and aeroplanes. This oil is known as white petrol. A fraction of kerosene formed during the process of distillation of crude oil is called white petrol. It is a clear and thin form of petroleum oil that contains general hydrocarbons. It is used in aeroplanes and space jets and hence, it is also called aircraft fuel.

Lubricants are typically used to separate moving parts in a system. This separation has the benefit of reducing friction, wear and surface fatigue, together with reduced heat generation, operating noise and vibrations. Lubricants achieve this in several ways. Oil, Grease, Penetrating Lubricants, and Dry Lubricants. The two most common lubricants you'll be dealing with daily are oil and grease, however, your facility will still be using dry and penetrating lubricants.

Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG)

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG or LP gas) is a fuel gas which contains a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases, specifically propane, propylene, butylene, isobutane, and n-butane. LPG is used as a fuel gas in heating appliances, cooking equipment, and vehicles. It is increasingly used as an aerosol propellant[1] and a refrigerant,[2] replacing chlorofluorocarbons in an effort to reduce damage to the ozone layer. When specifically used as a vehicle fuel, it is often referred to as autogas or even just as gas.
